Simon was born in Kent, England in 1161. One of the greatest things that ever happened to him was whent he Blessed Mother appeared to him as the Lady of Carmel and gave him the devotion we now know as the Brown Scapular. He led a very interesting life including how he got the name Simon "Stock".
